About Us

About Valley Rally:

Valley Rally.com is a motivational, self-help website community devoted to helping you find the confidence to overcome any problem in your life. Difficult problems can become overwhelming, but not impossible to overcome.

At Valley Rally, our users have shared their inspirational success stories of perseverance to help you realize that anything is possible. We encourage our users to post their stories describing any problem they’ve persevered through, so chances are the problem you are having has been written about.

Our Mission:

Our mission at Valley Rally is to become the premier place for anyone who needs help finding the confidence and inspiration to persevere through a problem.

Our Story:

In December 2003, Valley Rally founder Tom Chantrell's wife, Kristen, was diagnosed with Celiac Disease.  Celiac Disease is an autoimmune disorder of the small intestine that occurs in genetically predisposed individuals.  Currently, there are no cures for Celiac Disease, however, lifelong adherence to a gluten-free diet will eliminate all symptoms and allow the damaged intestine to completely heal.

The difficulty lies in adjusting one's diet to a gluten-free diet because gluten is found in wheat, oats, rye and barley, which are in most American foods.  Kristen found the change more difficult than she initially thought it would be.  Often times, the presence of gluten is hidden in "artificial flavorings" or "modified food starch", thus making the diet overwhelming and extremely inconvenient.

No matter what Tom said to help support her, though, to her he just didn’t understand what she was going through.  He decided to help in a different way.  He decided to help her by giving her a place to go where she could talk to others who share, and have overcome, the same struggle.  In January 2007, Tom launched the motivational, self-help website Valley Rally.

Although the concept of Valley Rally was inspired by Kristen's struggle to cope with Celiac Disease, the site is open for anyone with any struggle.
